This graph shows how work trip length varies by district of residence. Residents of the “Rural West” district experience the longest work trips on average, at around 19 km. The shortest trips are experienced by residents of “Ottawa Centre” who travel on average 3 km to work. The remaining districts experience work trip lengths anywhere in between varying relatively linearly as the origin district of the work trip gets closer and closer to Ottawa Centre. Québec, Ontario, and the entire NCR all experience aggregate average work trip lengths around 9 km.
